Children's Department

The Childrens Department is dedicated to providing child friendly experiences with reading through Story Times and Family Programs.

What's available in the GPL Children's Department?

Children's Computers - located in the south wing of the library in the children's department are 6 Eubuntu computer stations for children ages 10 and under only. These computers offer a connection to the Internet and filtering to help prevent inappropriate subject matter for this age group of children. These computers are loaded with games, both educational and just plain fun.

Toddler Area - located at the south-west corner of the children's area is a toddler activity table where parents can enjoy the library with their toddlers. There is even a rocking chair located in this area for parents to sit and read to their children.

Story Time Room - located right beside the Childrens Dept. office is the Story Time Room. This is where GPL Story Times happen, for more information on Story Time and dates please select the Story Time link in the Navigation bar located on the left side of this page.
