Young Adult
The Young Adult program promotes reading for both learning and leisure by providing
popular, high-quality fiction and nonfiction for ages 12 and up. Fantasy, mystery,
horror or realism await visitors to the teen reading room. Special events for young
adults are held periodically.

What is Teen Read Week? Every year, the American Library Association designates the third week of October as a time for teens to celebrate reading for fun.
With fun in mind, the Young Adult department is sponsoring the following events:
-
Monday - Play Mario Cart on the Wii.
-
Tuesday – Make It and Take It: duct tape wallet.
-
Wednesday – Play Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii.
-
Thursday – Make It and Take It: painted bookends.
-
All Week – complete a word search puzzle featuring the names of Young Adult authors and be eligible for a prize drawing.
-
All Week - FINE FORGIVENESS! Bring back those overdue books and pay no fines!
