At GPL, summer means family fun!

GREENVILLE - In addition to Greenville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, we have a full schedule of fun for all ages!

Regular events like Lego Club and Storytime will continue in June and July, but they’ll be accompanied by Family Fun Days, School-Age Thursdays, and more!

Family Fun Days will feature some of our favorites like Mike Hemmelgarn as well as some new acts including The Science Tellers and Rusty the Magician. These events will be held on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. on the front lawn. In the event of bad weather, we’ll move inside the basement at EUM Church, located at 111 Devor Street. Family Fun Days are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Greyson James Steyer Memorial Fund.

School-Age Thursdays will include fun activities like a scavenger hunt and Brukner’s Wildlife Encounter. Registration is required for all School-Age Thursday programs since space is limited. Registration begins on June 3rd.

And summer at GPL wouldn’t be complete without our Annual Carnegie Carnival! This year the carnival will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 31. This free event will feature games, bounce houses, popcorn, prizes and more.

For a full list of summer programs, check out the Summer Reading page on our website under the Events tab or pick up a brochure at the Circulation Desk!
