Notary Service

Appointments are not required but guarantee that the notary will be available. Notary has the right to refuse service outside of given guidelines.

Guidelines

• All persons signing the document must appear in person & bring a valid, government-issued photo ID & unsigned documents to be notarized. Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary in order to be valid.
• Complete ALL information above the signature line before your appointment time.
• GPL will NOT provide witnesses. Please bring a witness who knows you.
• GPL provides only basic Notary Public Services.
• The Notary WILL NOT notarize the following items:
  • Corporate documents
  • Documents which require an electronic signature
  • Foreign Passport or Visa Application

Neither the Notary nor Greenville Public Library is liable for the content of the notarized document.
