School-Age Tuesday
Tuesday, July 1 at 2 p.m.
Tie-Dye T-Shirts -- Add some color to your life! You bring the white T-shirt and we'll provide the rest. Since this is sure to be messy, we recommend leaving your good clothes at home. Only open 30 kids ages 6 to 12, so sign up today! Event will be held on the library lawn. Rain location will be the Storytime Room.

Sidewalk Chalk Challenge -- Color our sidewalks as you wow us with your artistic ability! We only have space for 40 kids ages 6 to 12, so be sure to sign up. And since chalk is always messy, we recommend you leave your nice clothes at home.

Library Closing at Noon
Friday, July 11
The library will be closing early to get ready for Darke County Center for the Arts' annual BBQ & Blues event. We will reopen on Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m.

BBQ & Blues
Friday, July 11 at 6 p.m.
DCCA's annual BBQ & Blues fundraiser will feature Noah Wotherspoon this year. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the music begins at 6. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the DCCA box office located on the third floor of the library or at their website, www.darkecountyarts.org .

Classic Movie Matinee
Thursday, July 17 at 1 p.m.
This month we'll be showing the 1988 family comedy, The Great Outdoors starring John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, and Annette Bening. This film is rated PG with a run time of 1 hour 31 minutes. Patrons are invited to bring their favorite movie snacks and drinks, as well as a sweater for anyone who is easily chilled.

Bring Your Own Book Club
Thursday, July 17 at 5:30 p.m.
Ever wanted to be in a book club but hate being told what to read? Then BYO is perfect for you! Bring whatever you're currently reading or your latest favorite and chat with others about what books are on their radar. Ages 14 and up are welcome, but we ask that those unable to drive are picked up promptly at 6:30.

Calling all teens and tweens! We'll be showing the 2022 action adventure Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Snacks will be provided for this 1 hour and 56 minute film.

Summer Read Ends
Saturday, July 26 at 2 p.m.
All good things must come to an end, and our Summer Reading Program is no different. All entries must be received by closing time today to be eligible for our prize drawings.

Carnegie Carnival
Wednesday, July 30 from 11 to noon
Help us wrap up our 2025 Summer Reading Program at the Carnegie Carnival! There will be games, popcorn, bounce houses, and prizes galore! Summer Reading prizes will be awarded, but kids need not be present to win. If it rains, we'll move inside Gospel Baptist Church Activity Building, located on the corner of Wayne Avenue & Devor Street.

Your Time to Travel with Leigh
Tuesday, July 8 at 10 a.m.
Join Leigh Fletcher of Friends on Board as she shares her hard-earned travel wisdom with us. She plans many trips for large groups each year and will be giving an inside look at the tips and tricks of the trade. Anyone planning a trip of any kind won't want to miss this!
